On 5/26/2026 at 3:43pm, SARPD was dispatched to a stabbing on Braeside Ave in East Stroudsburg Boro.  Upon arrival of officers, it was discovered an adult female victim had been stabbed in the left thigh area.  The victim advised that her sister had stabbed her and fled the scene.  The victim was then transported to the hospital for treatment of her wounds.  During the course of the investigation the suspect was identified as Virginia MORRIS 30 y/o B/N/F of Stroudsburg.  The stabbing had occurred as a result of a domestic dispute between the victim and her sister in the victim's home.  An arrest warrant was issued for MORRIS on May 26 by MDJ WOLBERT.  On May 28, 2026, at 3 pm, suspect Virginia MORRIS turned herself into SARPD and was arraigned by MDJ WOLBERT.  Her bail was set at $100,000 secured and MORRIS was transported to the Monroe County Correctional Facilityfor commitment.  ALL SUSPECTS ARE INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW.  THESE ARE MERELY ACCUSATIONS OF A CRIME.
