It’s summertime.  The days are long and hot, the grill is full of good food and the beverages are cold.  It's also the season for fireworks and other explosive fun.  Please remember that although the Commonwealth has relaxed the laws on fireworks, there are still some rules in place to try and keep everyone’s fingers intact, and houses from burning down.  Please take the below into account when planning your night:

• Fireworks cannot be ignited or discharged on a public or private property without express permission of the property owner.
• Fireworks cannot be discharged from or within a motor vehicle or building.
• Fireworks cannot be discharged toward a motor vehicle or building.
• Fireworks cannot be discharged within 150 feet of an occupied structure, whether or not a person is actually present.
• Fireworks cannot be discharged while the person is under the influence of alcohol, a controlled substance, or another drug.
   

We hope everyone is able to enjoy the summer and have a good time.  We only ask you plan accordingly and do so in a safe manner.   It's simple, respect your neighbors, don't burn their house down and keep the noise to a minimum after hours.  Just be the kind neighborly people we know you are.  Don't be a knucklehead.
