LCWC (911 dispatch) detailed a NLCRPD patrol officer to the area of Target Store on Lititz Pike for persons playing the violin in the parking lot. Reporting party indicated that the act seemed suspicious and added the involved persons included a husband, wife, and small child. The responding NLCRPD patrol was familiar with similar incidents at this location and held an understand that the involved parties typically are not begging for money nor soliciting. The NLCRPD patrol responded to the area and located the involved persons. The family appeared to be healthy, clean, and capable of making life care decisions. The patrol officer spoke with the father, and he confirmed that the family had the basics but needed a little help. The NLCRPD patrol explained which actions would be considered illegal and asked if he would “move along”. He agreed but prior to the family departing the scene, the NLCRPD patrol officer provided them with a small amount of cash for gas or any other essential. The family was grateful and exited the property without incident.
