NLCRPD patrol conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by a subject identified as WILLIAM H. SHUE, of a reported last known address on Heidelberg Avenue in Schaefferstown, PA. It was made known to the NLCRPD patrol officer that that the subject has a felony warrant for a bail violation. In addition, the subject was reportedly a flight threat and at risk of engaging in a pursuit according to information provided to the 911 dispatcher.

To avoid either a vehicle or foot pursuit the NLCRPD patrol planned for the stop and was positioned in a manner to intercept the subject at a location on Church Road near East Newport Road in Warwick Township in a location where the risk of flight was reduced. Upon stop the subject was approached and immediately placed into custody by the NLCRPD officer.

Investigation determined that SHUE has a suspended license for a DUI related Offense. Shue's driving history reflected this offense was his time being charged for driving on a DUI suspended license. Charges have been filed for Driving while suspended by the NLCRPD patrol officer. No injury to any involved party and all actions were recorded on both the NLCRPD agency MVR/BWC image capture systems. Subject was transported to the Lancaster County Prison for the felony bail violation. The stop was not the result of utilization of any stopping tactics employed by the NLCRPD to restrict any traffic flow or other intervention technique in compliance with NLCRPD agency written directives.
