The NLCRPD Patrol Services Division has identified the driver of the pickup truck that is responsible for the damage to the polo grounds located at Forney Field, a Warwick Township Park. The subject is an 18-year-old male who will face prosecution for the senseless and reckless damages inflicted on two separate occasions to the natural turf fields. When the charges are filed the subject will be identified publicly in accordance with the RTK act. The charges will be filed as soon as the total costs of damage and restoration have been determined. This delay in charging is necessary to determine the proper grading of the offense. Criminal mischief is a felony of the third degree if the actor intentionally causes pecuniary loss in excess of $5,000, or a substantial interruption or impairment of public communication, transportation, supply of water, gas or power, or other public service. It is a misdemeanor of the second degree if the actor intentionally causes pecuniary loss in excess of $1,000, or a misdemeanor of the third degree if he intentionally or recklessly causes pecuniary loss in excess of $500 or causes a loss in excess of $150 for a violation of subsection (a)(4). Otherwise, criminal mischief is a summary offense.
