NLCRPD patrols took two subjects into custody after a caller reported a possible hoot and run and suspicious persons and vehicle report in the 100 block of wood Corner Road in Clay Township. Responding patrols located two male adults. One subject ran into a a nearby corn field. As additional NLCRPD patrols responded to the area, a NLCRPD patrol officer deployed an in board unmanned arial vehicle and located the subject hidden in the cornfield. A NLCRPD on the perimeter of the search area ordered the suspect to stop and held the subject at “taser / CED point” until subject was secured.

Both subjects taken into custody on drug related charges , and one subject on a previous drug related bench warrant. Subjects were transported to the NLCRPD for livescan identification, DRE testing, and arrest booking. No injuries were reported associated with this event and more details will follow after charging documents and positive identifications have been completed.
