On July 4, 2022, @ 4:47 PM NLCRPD responded to the report of a two-vehicle crash that occurred at intersecting Lancaster Road (SR72) and intersecting East Sun Hill Road in Penn Township. The initial investigation suggested that a 2018 Hyundai Accent, operated by Kenneth MINNICK of Manheim, had been traveling north on Lancaster Road and failed to stop at a red traffic signal. A second vehicle, described as a 2017 BMW, operated by Sara Hunter of Manheim, had been traveling eastbound on Sun Hill Road, traveled into the intersection, and was subsequently struck by MINNICK’s vehicle. Both operators were transported to the hospital for further evaluation and treatment. The investigation and outcomes are still under investigation.
