LCWC advised NLCRPD patrols of an anonymous person reporting they found a bone appearing like that of a human. Caller advised this was in the water drainage next to a commercial property located in the 1000 block of Lancaster Road. Upon arrival the NLCRPD patrol located a small stream/drainage. Approximately 100 yards South from Bucknoll Road, the NLCRPD patrol located part of a hip bone attached to a femur. Attached to the femur was a joint and another partial section of leg bone. This was located on the creek bank and appeared old and deteriorated. The bone was covered in soil and leaves and had a dark brown color to it, leading the patrol officer to believe it has been here for a substantial amount of time. Upon reviewing this bone without handling it, the artifact was identified it as a deer rear hip and femur bone. NLCRPD captured digital images for later comparison. Incident complete, nothing further to report.
