NLCRPD is investigating an incident involving a 15 year old male who is a runaway that stole a firearm from his grandmother. According to the reporting party the juvenile offender is alleged to have stolen a loaded Ruger LCP .380 handgun from a safe located in the dwelling. The NLCRPD filed a juvenile allegation against the juvenile offender and contacted the Lancaster County Juvenile Probation Department. Due to past compliance requirements and failure to meet those standards a detainer is now active for the child upon his apprehension and arrest. Due to the age of the offender and the requirements of the Juvenile Act the identifiers of the child are being withheld.
