On May 27, 2026, at 9:20 AM, the Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department (NLCRPD) responded to a reported school bus accident at West Sun Hill Road near the railroad tracks.
Initial reports indicated several suspected injuries to students onboard. However, upon arrival, officers found that the situation was not as initially reported.
The school bus, carrying Warwick students on a field trip, took a wrong turn and attempted to turn around. During the maneuver, the bus scraped/struck a large boulder, causing a sudden jolt to the occupants. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries, and the bus sustained no damage.
As a precautionary measure, the students were transferred to a second bus to continue their journey.
All persons involved are safe, and the incident has been resolved.
