NLCRPD COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT -The NLCRPD supports many community based programs in many ways. One of these valuable programs is the Greystone Manor TRC -Greystone Manor Therapeutic Riding Center which is a non-profit organization that has been providing quality equine assisted activities for children and adults with special needs since 1981. Therapeutic riding has many benefits which touch different areas of the lives of the riders including physical, psychological, emotional and social. Each rider’s goals are individualized to best suit their needs and interests.
This past Saturday the LANCASTER CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT MOUNTED POLICE UNIT put a smile on the face of children and adults alike as they displayed the skills of the unit in various aspects of professional police equine skills. Thanks, from the NLCRPD to the members of the d LANCASTER CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT MOUNTED POLICE UNIT and especially to Chief Sadler (himself a mounted officer).
