On November 12th, 2021, NLCRPD received a call from Lancaster County Wide Communications (LCWC) for a theft not in progress at Sheetz, located at 1205 Lancaster Road. On arrival the reporting NLCRPD patrol spoke with the reporting party who stated the theft involved an unknown number of Pokémon trading card packages being stolen earlier on this date. The suspect entered and re-entered the display area for the cards and engaged in criminal behavior following this timeline. Approximately 0640 hours the suspect enters the store through the main entrance (gas pump side of store). The suspect is described as younger male, Caucasian, brown-colored hair, wearing a gray hooded zip-up sweatshirt, black or dark-colored pants, and gray shoes. Approximately 0643 hours the suspect is observed grabbing several packages of Pokémon trading cards from a display shelf near the above-described entrance door. Jessica estimates the suspect took 10-15 packs of cards. Approximately 0644 hours the suspect is observed at the self-checkout register area. The suspect is observed scanning a single drink bottle (unknown brand) and a single card package prior to placing the entire stack of card packages into a Sheetz plastic bag at the registered. The suspect failed to scan more than one of Pokémon card packs prior to completing his transaction with a card payment at the self-checkout register. The total amount of loss is being tabulated and unknown at this time.
