Officer Grecco started his career with the Northern Lancaster County Regional Police in June of 2019. Prior to serving with the NLCRPD he worked part time for a police department in the Poconos and before that he served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. Since Officer Grecco came to the NLCRPD he has dedicated himself to his chosen profession. Constantly learning and developing his skills. He has done this through attending training, talking with other officers about specific situations, and learning by applying what he has learned each day on the job. Officer Grecco constantly evaluates himself and talks with others about what he did or saw on a call and what went right and wrong so he and the officers with him can learn from their call or traffic stop. In 2021 Officer Grecco had more than seventy-five arrests, ranging from summary non-traffic to felonies. He was one of the leaders in arrests for the year.
Many of Officer Grecco’s arrest are driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or a combination of alcohol and drugs. When he is on shift, he is constantly looking to make the public and our municipalities a safer place for all the citizens and those traveling through our jurisdictions. In addition to being one of the leaders in the agency in making the roads a safer place to travel, Officer Grecco has assisted the NLCRPD with firearms training since 2020. He makes himself available to other officers both on and off duty and is always willing to help them before, during or after qualifications. Officer Grecco is one of two officers that cleans and maintenances the NLCRPD weapon systems and makes sure they stay running and in good shape.
To summarize Officer Grecco’s Officer of the Year award positive example of the NLCRPD team and brings credit to himself, his family, and this agency with his willingness to help others, keep the municipalities a safe place to travel, live and work. Law enforcement is a profession constantly under a microscope of scrutiny by all. In this day and age Officer Grecco is still willing to put himself out there and stays dedicated to his profession.
