At the January 9, 2020, Board of Commissioners meeting Officer Matthew Hinkle was promoted to the rank of Detective. Detective Hinkle has 19 years of police service and has been a member of the NLCRPD since the inception of the agency in 2012. Detective Hinkle has extensive training in the collection and preservation of evidence, interviewing techniques, sex crimes, homicide – death investigation and other areas supporting investigation of crimes. Detective Hinkle also is one of the NLCRPD designated evidence custodians responsible for the agency property and evidence management function.
