At the January 9th NLCRPD Board of Commission Meeting four Patrol Officers were sworn-in by Chairman Martin. Officers Donely, Gutierrez, and Morgan graduated from the Reading Police Academy in late December and began their Field Training Officer (FTO) Program on January 2nd. Patrolman Troy Castellitto was also sworn-in. Officer Castellitto graduated from the Reading Police Academy in June 2024, completed his FTO program and was recently assigned to A Platoon. Chief Kilgore expressed his excitement of the addition these four men bring to the NLCRPD Patrol Division. The Patrol Division lost 50% of its manpower between 2023 and 2024 due to planned retirements and Officers who transferred out of jurisdiction. Another three Patrol Officers begin their certifications at the Reading Police Academy this month and will enter the FTO program in July 2025. Once completed, the full complement of 35 Sworn Police Officers will be met! Congratulations and welcome, gentlemen!
