On 03-17-21 at 1715 hours NLCRPD was dispatched to the location of W Newport Rd and Memorial Rd for a vehicle accident with no injuries or blocking. Police found the vehicles involved in the accident were a silver Dodge Ram 1500, driven by Austyn Nolt of Leola, and a silver Toyota Corolla which was no longer on scene.
Nolt stated that as he was approaching the intersection of Memorial Rd, he observed the Toyota Corolla begin to pull out into his lane of travel in front of him from Memorial Rd. Nolt stated that the Toyota Corolla pulled into his lane and a vehicle accident occurred. Both drivers initially stopped after the crash. The driver of the Corolla refused to remain on the scene, exchange information with Nolt, and fled the scene prior to police arrival.
A follow-up investigation was conducted. The driver of the Corolla was located and identified as Daniel A. BOUDER of Lititz. BOUDER was charged with accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle (M3), duty to give information (S), and duties at a stop sign (S). A preliminary hearing is pending.
