The reporting party advised NLCRPD of a fraudulent transaction that had occurred on his bank account. The reporting party stated that he uses a savings account through “Chime” online banking and that some recent transactions had been made totaling $4,925. The reporting party stated that his accounts username and password had been changed and that he was not originally able to access it. After contacting Chime and accessing his account he saw that 6 different transactions had been made, four $1,000 transactions, one $800 transaction, and one $125 transaction. All of which were made through a website called third party webpage. The reporting party stated that the perpetrators had also first transferred money from his savings account to his checking account before making the transactions. The transactions were from disposable phones using fictitious venues.
