NLCRPD was dispatched to contact a reporting party from Meadowlark Drive in Clay Township. He wanted to make a report about fraud involving bank accounts. After response to an electronic message the reporting party was instructed by the unknown party to purchase bitcoin. Subject reported he purchased the bitcoins and subsequently lost $13,000 dollars from his savings. As the bitcoin accounts were depleted immediately upon deposit.
