NLCRPD responded to a series of fireworks related offenses during the past weekend. There were several subjects warned in the vicinity of the Highlands Drive near the UPMC Lititz complex. The subjects were located by the responding NLCRPD patrols in a field away from any occupied residences in the residential – commercial area of Warwick Township setting of consumer fireworks devices. While these individuals complied with the state requirements for consumer fireworks - they were in violation of a local ordinance governing aerial devices. The subjects were adults and a warning was applied. They ceased their conduct and the situation was resolved without arrest of issuance of any citations.
