The NLCRPD would like to extend to our citizens a fun but safe holiday as we celebrate the 4^th of July weekend! Listed below and as provided in the attachment are some helpful reminders of the current laws and ordinances associated with the sale, purchase, and use of fireworks here in Pennsylvania.  Violators will be subject to applicable prosecution.   We ask everyone to be courteous of their neighbors and contact the NLCRPD with any unlawful activity that may be unsafe or cause a hazardous condition to the public.  Be aware. • Fireworks cannot be ignited or discharged on a public or private property without the expressed permission of the property owner.
• Fireworks cannot be discharged from or within a motor vehicle or building.
• Fireworks cannot be discharged towards a motor vehicle or building
• Fireworks cannot be discharged within 150 feet of an occupied structure, regardless if a person is actually present or not.
• Fireworks cannot be discharged while the person is under the influence of alcohol, a controlled substance, or another drug.
