On July 26, 2021 @ 1:31 PM NLCRPD encountered a wanted subject identified as Jay STEFFY of Lititz. STEFFY initially ran from police to and attempted to discard heroin that was in his possession. Officers were able to capture STEFFY and recover the drugs. STEFFY was arrested and charged with charges associated with tampering with evidence, resisting arrest, and possession of illegal drugs.  STEFFY was processed, arraigned, and remanded to the custody of Lancaster Co. Prison.
