Since agency inception in 2012 the NLCRPD has had our agency motto displayed on all marked fleet patrol vehicles. In the past week the news has been filled with various officials using the phrase “deeds not words” these words did not go unnoticed among community members served by the NLCRPD who made a connection with the news approaching NLCRPD officers and commenting that they were accustomed to seeing this on decals affixed to NLCRPD patrol cars. While our team could never have predicted the news of the day and the use of this phrase as it has been applied to recent events, we could see it as a clearly defined NLCRPD agency expectation in professional police services delivery. That is why it is a logo placed on all cruisers as a reminder to our team members and the community of the commitment to quality outcomes we all share and expect. In fact, this is memorialized in the written directive (see attached PDF file) that depicts the vehicle equipment standards for all NLCRPD fleet vehicles.
