The NLCRPD is investigating a single car crash this morning that occurred in Clay Township on Millstone Road in the Middle Creek Refuge. STEPHEN WINGERT, age 28, of Newmanstown, Pa was operating a 2008 Toyota 4runner on Millstone Road when a large tree fell in the path of his vehicle. The tree nearly came to rest on the roadway and nearly struck the vehicle resulting in the vehicle impacting the fallen tree. WINGERT who was the only occupant of the vehicle was treated by EMS at the scene for minor injuries and declined further hospital-based care. The vehicle required towing services removal from the crash scene. The Clay Township Department of Public Works responded and removed t he downed tree from the roadway surface.
