On May 14^th, 2026, NLCRPD (CID) criminal investigation division received a report of a child being raped by a male care giver. The suspect was identified as Dylan Keith Shenk, W/M/34 years of age, residing at 1247 Newport Road, Manheim PA in Penn Township. 

The child was taken to an area hospital for a medical exam. While at the hospital, CHILD disclosed to medical staff that she had been raped hours earlier and further disclosed that the CHILD had been sexually assaulted and raped on multiple prior occasions by Dylan Keith Shenk.

Child was able to provide very descriptive details about specific acts and items used as part of the rape and sexual assault. NLCRPD CID unit acted quickly and was able to obtain a search warrant for Dylan Keith Shenk’s residence and property to search for the items used and to take photographs of the items in the home. At 8:34 PM on May 14^th, 2026, NLCRPD CID unit assisted by NLCRPD patrol division served the search warrant and at the same time took Dylan Keith Shenk into custody. 

Dylan Keith Shenk was transported to NLCRPD headquarters where he was interviewed and was forthcoming as to where some of the items used in the assault were kept. As a result of the investigation Dylan Keith Shenk has been charged with the following crimes.

• PA Crimes Code – 3123 B – Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a Child – Felony 1^st – 1 Count
• PA Crimes Code – 3125 A7 - Aggravated Indecent Assault child less than 13 years old – Felony 2^nd – 1 Count
• PA Crimes Code – 6318 A1 – Unlawful Contact with Minor – Felony 1^st – 1 Count
• PA Crimes Code – 4304 A1 – Endangering the Welfare of Children – Parent or Guardian – Felony 3^rd – 1 Count
• PA Crimes Code – 6301 A1ii – Corruption of Minors – Defendant Age 18 or Above – Felony 3^rd – 1 Count

• PA Crimes Code – 3126 A7 – Indecent Assault Person Less than 13 Years of Age – Felony 3^rd – 3 Counts 

A Magisterial District Justice denied bail for Shenk due to community safety concerns.  Dylan Keith Shenk is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
