Due to an auto accident involving a truck/trailer vs a utility pole that occurred in the 1100 Block of East Newport Road @ 05:28 hours this morning, East Newport Road is CLOSED between Millway Road and Rothsville Road (Main Street).  PP&L is on scene and diligently working to repair the pole/power lines. The roadway is expected to be closed for several hours while the repairs are being completed. NLCRPD asks motorists to use alternate routes, be patient, and drive safely during the closure.
