Chief's Message

Welcome to the Ephrata Police Department on the CRIMEWATCH platform.

I am privileged to serve as your Chief of Police, and I want to personally welcome you to our department’s website. I hope you’ll take some time to learn about our services and the dedicated people who provide them. We’re all committed to the safety and well-being of the communities we serve.

In Ephrata Borough, Ephrata Township, West Cocalico Township, and Adamstown Borough, we know our work is a partnership. Our mission isn’t to simply police the community, but to police with the community. The quality of our service and the strength of our presence is a direct reflection of the trust and collaboration we’ve built with you over the years. That’s what Excellence in Policing means to us.

Our personnel are truly the best in the business. My confidence is absolute, not just in our sworn police officers, but in every single unsworn employee and each of the volunteers who give so much of their time. They’re professional, they’re committed, and they’re truly exceptional people. We couldn’t do it without them.

So thank you for visiting us here. We’re always here, ready to serve, and always looking for ways to work with you to make our shared communities better, safer places to live.

“Your Safety is Our Business.”

Christopher J. McKim
