The Ephrata Police Department responded to over a dozen reports of vehicles entered late Thursday/Early Friday July 2&3, 2015. Items such as wallets, a fixed blade knife, GPS devices, and cash were stolen. A common theme in the thefts is that most, if not all, the vehicles were unlocked. The EPD would like to remind residents that a theft from you vehicle takes only seconds. Please stow valuables and LOCK vehicles when unattended! Also, if you see a crime in progress, or even something suspicous, please contact the PD immediately. The non-emergency number is 717-733-8611. Emergency is, of course, 911.
