CHRISTOPHER H. CHASE – PATROL OPERATIONS LIEUTENANT
Lieutenant Chase was hired by the East Hempfield Township Police Department in January 2007. He began his career in the patrol division and then spent six years working as a detective in the Criminal Investigative Division. In the Spring of 2018 Lieutenant Chase was promoted to a Patrol Sergeant where he spent the next two years, and was subsequently assigned to the Detective Sergeant position in the Spring of 2020. Over the course of his career, Lieutenant Chase has attended numerous trainings that have focused on both patrol functions as well as criminal investigative functions. Lieutenant Chase is a graduate of the Northwestern University School of Police and Command.
Lieutenant Chase graduated from Warwick High School where upon graduation he attended and graduated from Kutztown University with a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice. He then attended Penn State University where he graduated with a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice in the Spring of 2006. Over the course of his career, Lieutenant Chase has received recognition for significant police incidents in both his role as a detective and a supervisor. In his spare time, Lieutenant Chase enjoys exercising, outdoor activities and supporting his favorite sports teams. Lieutenant Chase is a staunch advocate of the T.E.A.M approach in that everyone works together to serve the community as opposed to meeting individual goals.
