FAQ

Can I get a copy of a police report?

Yes.  If you are a victim and have reported a crime to the Trainer Borough Police Department, you can get a limited copy of that report by coming to the police station, located at 4300 Township Line Road, Trainer Pennsylvania 19061 between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm.

Can the police help me get a PFA (Protection from Abuse) order?

In an emergency, dial 9-1-1 and have an officer(s) and, if needed, medical personnel dispatched to you. The Trainer Borough Police Department is committed to assisting victims of domestic abuse.  As a victim of domestic violence, you may qualify to file a petition with the court requesting a Protection Order pursuant to the “Protection from Abuse Act”.  You may also have additional rights or see if immediate shelter is available.  Each officer has crime victim's packets, which contain information to assist victims, how to obtain a P.F.A. information and other domestic violence contact information in their vehicles.  Contact the Domestic Abuse Project of Delaware County on their 24 hour hotline at 610-565-4590 for further information.

How can I speak with an Officer?

If you live in Trainer Borough and want to speak with an officer regarding a crime or concern, simply dial 610-565-6500.  This will put you in touch with a dispatcher, who will then promptly send an officer to your home.  If you would rather talk by phone, call the same number and tell the dispatcher you would like an officer to call you.  The dispatcher will gather the needed information, for an officer to give you a call back.

If you live outside Trainer Borough and want to speak with a Trainer Borough Police Officer, regarding an incident that took place inside the Borough of Trainer, call 610-565-6500.  This will put you in touch with a dispatcher, who will gather the necessary information for an officer to give you a call back.  If you want to speak with the police about an incident that occurred outside Trainer Borough, please call the local jurisdiction where the incident occurred.

If you have an emergency, dial 911.

How can I retrieve my vehicle if it has been towed by the police?

In order to retrieve the vehicle that has been towed, you must first obtain a “vehicle release form” from the Trainer Borough Police Station. After obtaining the form, you can then go to the company that towed your vehicle and provide them with the vehicle release form along with proof of a valid driver’s license and your vehicle will be released. The vehicle must have valid registration and insurance to be driven off of the tow company’s lot. If the vehicle was towed for suspended/expired registration, or lack of valid insurance, those issues need to be corrected prior to picking up your vehicle or the vehicle cannot be driven off of the impound lot.

How do I properly dispose of prescription medication?

You can dispose of unwanted, unused, or expired prescription medication in the Delaware County Medicine Drop Box, located at the Administration entrance of the Trainer Borough Municipal Building at 4300 Township Line Road, Trainer, Pennsylvania 19013.

What is the police station phone number?
