Borough Peddling and Soliciting Chapter 150 governs the specifications for the use and issuance of the Solicitation Permit.

Instructions

An individual permit is required for each solicitor and/ or peddler.

Each person must file their own application form and be responsible for the non-refundable application/processing fee. A photocopy (front and back) of the applicant’s driver’s license or other legal form of photo identification must be attached. 2 (passport-size) color photos must also be submitted.

The Pennsylvania State Police at https://epatch.pa.gov/home  requires a comprehensive background check for each application, which may take up to 3 (three) weeks to complete. A copy of this background check must be submitted with our application.

*All required info is needed to proceed with solicitation permits. If we don't receive all the requested requirements the application will be discarded after 60 days. No exceptions*

Permit holders are required to obtain a photo ID issued by the Camp Hill Police Department and MUST ALWAYS DISPLAY the ID with a clear view while prompting goods and/or services.

Permits are not transferable from one person to another.

Background check fee through the https://epatch.pa.gov/home site. (This background check must be within 60 days of the issued background check)

Camp Hill Police Department Solicitation Fee is $30 for a 30-day permit.

TIME RESTRICTION: Permitted times seven (7) days a week through 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
