The Kennett Square Police Department is staffed by 13 Full Time Police Officers, 5 Part Time Officers, 2 Parking Enforcement Officers and 2 Civilian clerical positions.  We provide Police and Public Safety services to the Borough of Kennett Square 24 hours a day, every day all year.  The Department serves a population of approximately 6600 residents and various visitors in our 1.1 square mile area.  The Police Department specialty units include:

Criminal Investigations Division-

Responsible for the follow up and investigation of all major incidents.

Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement Division-

Responsible to conduct safety inspections and investigations of Commercial Motor Vehicles which travel through our area and roadways.

School Resource Officer Division-

Responsible to work in conjunction with the Kennett Consolidated School District Officials to promote a safe environment for our schools.
