What should I do if my parking meter is not working properly?

You can either stop by the Police Station Administrative offices during normal working hours, Monday through Friday between the hours of  9:00am to 4:00pm; call us at 215-862-3033 during those same hours; or email us at violations@newhopepd.org.  

We are located at 125 New Street in the basement of the old St. Martins Church. During the hours of 10am to 9:00pm, any day, you may contact the Parking Enforcement Officer on duty by calling the PEO Cell at 215-669-9429 to report a problem with a meter.
 

During what dates and times are parking meters enforced?

New Hope parking meters are enforced all year long from 10:00am to 9:00pm, seven days a week, 365 days a year.  The one exception is the New Hope Borough Municipal Complex lot located at 123-125 New Street. This lot is open and enforced until 11:00pm for meters. After 11:00pm there is no parking allowed in the Municipal Complex lot of any kind.
 

Can you please provide directions to your location?

Coming from NJ on Rt. 202 North, take Rt.  202 South through Somerville and Flemington, NJ, and through the PA Toll Bridge (25 cents). Bear right after the tolls onto Rt. 32 South and follow into New Hope. Turn right on Mechanic Street and cross over New Street. Turn left at the first drive after crossing New Street and follow to top of the hill. We are located in the lower level of the old church at 125 New Street, New Hope, PA.

From Doylestown and West, follow Rt. 202 North. After you pass the Logan Square Shopping Center, bear right at the “y” onto Rt 179 (Bridge St.) and follow to the next “y”.  Bear right onto Ferry  Street.  Cross over the railroad tracks and make the first right onto Stockton Avenue. At the “T”, turn left onto Mechanic Street.  Turn right at the first driveway on your right and follow to top of hill. We are located in the lower level of the old church at 125 New Street, New Hope, PA.

From Rt. 95, take Rt. 95 to the New Hope exit (exit 9 Rt. 32). Head north on Rt. 32 and follow signs for New Hope. Turn left at Mechanic Street.  Go to the stop sign. Cross over New Street and make a left at first driveway. We are located in the lower level of the old church at 125 New Street, New Hope, PA.

What instrument do you use to measure excessive sound levels from motor vehicles?

We use the EXTECH 407768 Digital Sound Level Meter. It is calibrated prior to and at the end of each shift.

How do I obtain and what is the cost of a copy of a police incident or accident report?

The cost is $15 per incident, plus $10 per sheet for photos. Call the station at 215-862-3033 to find out if the accident took place in New Hope Borough and to obtain a copy of the report.
