BLIZZARD WARNING
The National Weather Service has changed the forecast to a Blizzard Warning - 10:00 AM Sunday through 6:00 PM Monday - with possible accumulation in the range of 16”-22” and wind gusts as high as 45 MPH.
Please help keep our community safe:
🚗 Motorists:
Please stay OFF the roads until plow crews have cleared and treated them. Non‑essential travel puts you, other motorists, plow crews, and emergency responders at risk. Don’t get stranded or cause avoidable accidents—please stay home.
🚫 Street Parking Reminder:
All vehicles should be removed from streets before snowfall begins. Per NBT Code (Chapter 21, Part 1): Parking is prohibited once 1 inch or more of ice or snow has accumulated until plowing and treatment are complete. Vehicles left on the street may be ticketed and/or towed.
🛑 Do NOT push or shovel snow into the road:
Per NBT Code (Chapter 21, Part 4): Residents and contractors: NO snow or ice shall be plowed, pushed, thrown, or cleared from private property onto a public street, sidewalk, bike path, pedestrian path, gutter, or swale. This may create a hazard and slow down clearing operations.
🛷 Plow Crews at Work:
Public Works and PennDOT will be out in force. Give them plenty of space and never attempt to pass a plow truck.
STAY SAFE!
