Recently, numerous areas in Bucks and Montgomery Counties, even areas in New Jersey and Delaware, have had an increase of overnight stolen vehicles and theft from vehicles.  At this time, it appears most, if not all of vehicles involved were left unlocked and with the keys inside; not “broken into” as most were initially reported.  Remember to always lock your homes and vehicles, and do not leave keys and/or valuables in plain view.  Also, unlocked vehicles in the parking lots of gyms, parks, schools and daycares are often targeted more frequently, because valuables are often left behind and often in plain view.  Additionally, do not leave vehicles unlocked with the engine running unattended, because it is a quick and easy target.
