On September 6, 2022 at approximately 930 PM, New Britain Township Police responded to a call of a vehicle struck by a train in the area of Schoolhouse Road and Walnut Street. Upon arrival police located a 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer with the front of the vehicle under a SEPTA commuter train. The vehicle was occupied by the driver, a 59-year-old male from Perkasie, who was extricated from the vehicle by fire and EMS personnel. The driver was taken to Grand View Hospital to be treated for his injuries and was last listed in stable condition. No passengers on the train were injured.
