From Monday - 05/11/26 thru Sunday - 05/31/26, officers from NBTPD will be on patrol, actively looking for drivers & passengers who are NOT wearing their seatbelts.  NBTPD reminds the motoring public that occupant safety is important, not only for you as a driver, but also for your passengers!

If you plan to drive, wear your seatbelt.  If you are driving with passengers, insist that they wear their seatbelts.  If you have infant, toddler or young child passengers in the car, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE that they are secured in a properly installed & adjusted child safety seat.  Motor Carrier drivers are reminded that seatbelt violations are primary offenses under the FMCSRs; for drivers and passengers.
