TIS THE SEASON TO BE JOLLY!
It's the time of year where many people will be out shopping, partaking in holiday outings, and partying with friends and coworkers during the Christmas season. In some cases, people will imbibe in holiday spirits or other intoxicants while out and about. NBTPD reminds motorists that it is in your best interest to remain sober while driving to and from your festivities. Protect yourself, your loved-ones and those sharing the road with you by making the right decision to drive sober. And we shouldn't have to remind you, but we will, that impaired driving is not just from alcohol. Some prescription medications or over-the-counter drugs may interfere with driving. Also, while prescribed medications & medicinal marijuana use is legal, driving under the influence of these substances is ILLEGAL.
From now until the new year, NBTPD will be conducting DUI roving patrols to cut down on the drunk drivers who may ruin this festive time of year.
DRIVE SAFELY!
