On Wednesday, December 25th, 2019, at approximately 4:50 PM, a vehicle traveling south on Upper Stump Road in the 700 block, left the roadway and crash head-on into a utility pole; this resulted the struck pole being destroyed and a second pole being knocked down.  Said pole, wires, cables and debris were all over the roadway, which made it impassable.  Both poles had to be replaced; PECO and Verizon responded to make repairs.  Upper Stump Road was closed throughout the night and into the morning hours the next day; during this time one house was left without power during repairs.  This crash was the result of distracted driving and luckily the driver was not injured.  This video is courtesy of a resident on Upper Stump Road who's security cameras captured the crash and assisted us in the investigation.
