Chief's Message
The City of El Paso is a wonderful place to live, work, visit, and raise a family. Whether you live here, work here, visiting, or just taking advantage of our beautiful parks, my staff and I welcome you. I encourage you to navigate our CRIMEWATCH website to learn more about crime and other alerts occurring in your community, ways to prevent crime, and prepare for emergencies. You can also connect directly with the men and women of the El Paso Police Department who work hard each and every day to keep this community safe. I hope you will find the information easy to access and informative. The El Paso Police Department is responsible for the public safety of our entire community. Not only do we respond to 911 calls, our other duties include conducting criminal investigations, traffic enforcement, school resource officer services to the El Paso Gridley School District, and community outreach programs including McGruff the Crime Dog. We also work closely with the Woodford County Sheriff’s Office, Illinois State Police, and the El Paso Fire Department, El Paso Rescue Squad, and El Paso ESDA. It is our privilege to protect our residents, and to provide the highest levels of professional service. I encourage you to sign up for customized alerts and download the CRIMEWATCH application for the latest information about crime in your neighborhood, and news from the El Paso Police Department. Thank you for partnering with us to make El Paso a safer place to live, work, and play.
