A jury in Moffat County District Court convicted Parrish Terry, a local pastor from Craig, of Assault in the Second Degree, a class four felony, and Assault in the Third Degree, a misdemeanor, on March 5, 2026. The crimes occurred on June 15, 2025, in Craig, Colorado.
The investigation was led by Detective Kelsey Morford of the Craig Police Department which began with the initial report taken by Officer Grant Laehr, and the prosecution of the case was handled by Assistant District Attorney Joseph Bucci. Fourteenth Judicial District Court Chief Judge Brittany Schneider presided over the three-day trial.
After the guilty verdicts were returned, Judge Schneider ordered a pre-sentence investigation report and Community Corrections screen, and the matter is set for sentencing on May 3, 2026, in Moffat County District Court. Under Colorado law, Mr. Terry could be sentenced to probation, Community Corrections, or between two and eight years in the Colorado Department of Corrections.
