On Monday, Parrish Terry of Craig received a sentence in Moffat County Court following a guilty verdict in a jury trial on March 5, 2026. The charges stemmed from an incident on June 15, 2025, in which Terry assaulted and strangled his son.
Judge Schneider sentenced Terry to three years of supervised probation, 100 hours of community service, and a 90-day suspended jail sentence. If Terry successfully completes the terms of his probation, he will not be required to serve the jail time.
Terry was found guilty of Assault 2 - strangulation (18-3-203(1)(i) and Assault 3 (18-3-2-4(1)(a) by a jury of his peers.
