On December 9, 2025, at approximately 4:45 pm, the Craig Police Department responded to a call from the owner of Barely Spent Consignment, who reported discovering suspicious items at their business. The owner of the store suspected the items might be homemade explosives, describing them as pipes with caps and fuses. Upon arrival, officers confirmed the items resembled homemade "pipe bombs." Officer(s) requested assistance from the Grand Junction Police Department's Bomb Unit who responded to the scene. The devices were safely transported to a secure location for detonation, which occurred at approximately 11:15 last night.
