UPDATE ON THE STRUCTURE FIRE AT COLUMBINE APARTMENTS

As of 3:41pm, the structure fire is 100% contained. There is no active threat and those evacuated from E building are allowed back with the exception of the three affected units. The Craig Police Department is assisting with a structure fire at the Columbine Apartments, located at 655 Wickes Avenue.

As a precaution, all residents of Building E have been evacuated. Evacuated residents are asked to go to Ridge View Elementary School, where resources and assistance are being provided.

Representatives from the American Red Cross, Public Health, and the Department of Human Services will be available at Ridge View Elementary to assist those affected by the fire.

The public is asked to avoid the area to allow fire crews to safely contain the fire and law enforcement officers to secure the scene.
