In the morning hours of Friday Sept 26th, our department responded swiftly to reports of suspicious activity at a Cherry Hills Village residence. A male suspect was seen on home security cameras walking with a flashlight around the perimeter of the residence, looking for opportunities to enter the home and eventually gaining access into the garage. Thanks to the quick response and coordinated efforts of our patrol officers, the suspect was apprehended at the scene before any property could be stolen. He was taken into custody without incident on charges of burglary and related offenses.
This successful arrest highlights the importance of community awareness and rapid reporting. We thank the alert homeowners who called in the suspicious activity, enabling officers to respond promptly and protect our neighborhood.
