In recognition of National Human Trafficking Prevention Month, this month’s Coffee with a Cop featured an important presentation by Stacey Sutherland from the Arizona Anti-Trafficking Network (AATN).
Stacey shared valuable insights on human trafficking, including the challenges victims face, relevant laws, key indicators to watch for, and how this crime can affect anyone—regardless of ethnicity or socioeconomic status.
She emphasized practical steps community members can take to protect their families and loved ones, and highlighted the support programs AATN provides to survivors, along with the meaningful success stories from their work.
Thank you to Stacey for the informative session and for providing helpful resources and pamphlets to everyone who attended.
If you'd like to support survivors of human trafficking, please consider donating to AATN, a 501(c)(3) organization: https://aatn.org
Join us next month at 8:30 AM here at the station for our next Coffee with a Cop, where our own Commander P. Beumler will go over the AZ Child and Abduction Response Team (CART).
