School Safety Reminder

As the new school year begins, the St Johns Police Department would like to remind everyone to be vigilant and cautious around school zones.

**Be Aware of School Bus Stops**: When approaching a school bus stop, slow down and be prepared to stop. Remember, children may be boarding or exiting the bus, and their safety is our top priority.

**Watch for Kids Crossing the Street**: Be extra cautious when driving through school zones, as children may be walking or biking to school. Reduce your speed and be prepared to stop for pedestrians.

**Slow Down in School Zones**: School zones have designated speed limits to ensure the safety of our children. Please obey these speed limits and slow down when driving through these areas.

**Safety in School Drop-Off and Pick-Up Zones**: When dropping off or picking up children, please follow the designated traffic patterns and slow down. Be mindful of pedestrians and other vehicles in these areas.

**E-Bike Safety**: If you're riding an e-bike, remember to follow the rules of the road. Obey traffic laws, wear a helmet, and be visible to motorists.
