On Tuesday, June 23, 2026, an unknown male called the Columbia Police Department and claimed that he just stabbed another individual at an address in the 600 Block of Fairview Avenue in Columbia. During the call, the male refused to identify himself. The male stated that he was still inside the residence, but he refused to exit the residence to meet with responding officers. Columbia Police patrol officers responded to the address and set up a perimeter.  Investigators contacted the homeowner, who responded to the address and allowed police entry. The home was cleared without incident.  No evidence of criminal activity was found.
