POLICE OFFICER

The Columbia Borough Police Department's next test will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 8:00am (arrival by 7:30am). Applications are due by October 4, 2026, at 11:59pm. This test will include the written exam at 8:00am followed by the physical agility test. The test location is the Columbia Borough School District at 901 Ironville Pike, Columbia, PA. 

Applicants for police officer positions must meet the requirements established by the Pennsylvania Municipal Police Officers’ Education and Training Commission (MPOETC). Our hiring process generally includes an application, written examination, physical fitness/agility testing, oral interview, background investigation, medical examination, psychological evaluation, polygraph and drug screening. We are currently paying for anyone that is hired to attend the police academy for ACT 120 certification as well as a salary while you are in the academy.

PART-TIME CROSSING GUARD
