On March 28, 2024, the Cumberland County Human Trafficking Task Force conducted Operation Impact Demand VII in coordination with the Silver Spring Police Department, PA State Police, and Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
District Attorney Seán M. McCormack stated after the operation, “Our message is clear, Cumberland County is off limits to commercial sexual exploitation. Individuals, like the ones just arrested during our latest operation – Impact Demand VII – who are paying for sex is what attracts human traffickers to our community. Since we began these operations in June of 2022, we have now arrested a total of 66 individuals. We will continue to conduct these operations.”
District Attorney McCormack expressed his thanks to the agencies who assisted in Thursday’s operation.
Enforcement operations will continue to be performed throughout Cumberland County. Those people who continue to prey on others will be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. It is alleged that the following individuals sought to engage female escorts in sexual activity for money at a Silver Spring Township Hotel. The defendants will be required to appear at District Court 09-3-04 for a preliminary hearing.
