On February 1, 2020 at 9:46 p.m., Ephrata officers attempted to arrest Michael P. Dostick, 37, of Ephrata, for an outstanding state parole violation in the parking lot of a business in the 3500 block of Rothsville Road, Ephrata Township.  Dostick, who started to back out of a parking space upon the approach of police, failed to heed an officer’s instructions to stop and surrender.  Dostick fled the scene in his vehicle.  Police engaged in a brief pursuit, but discontinued due to hazardous road conditions.  Dostick is presumed innocent.  On February 5, 2020, Dostick was incarcerated in SCI Camp Hill by another law enforcement agency.
